3 tips that will help you succeed in breaking the mental block/barrier you face
Before I start with the tips I wanted to say Good luck to All High School Baseball athletes at tryouts this week. Also Congrats to J.R’z Training Hall Athlete Patrick Leaf for making it to IESA Sectionals!
Now, last Friday I talked a little bit about mental bocks that stop you from reaching your goals in lifting or sport. I’m going to give you 3 easy tips that will help you break the blocks.
1. Find out what the Mental Block is
What is the reason for your failure, or digression? What people, things, ideas are getting in your way?
2. Conquer the Mental Block
Once you find out what the mental block is….the rest is easy. As long as you make a choice to change the habit, or factor that is holding you back, then you will be breeze through this. If you have discipline problems, then this part is going to be very hard for you. Making choices takes discipline. If you chose to do something different than you have to have the discipline to be consistent with the change. If you make a choice to change and only do it for 1 or 2 days….you lost the battle. But if you chose to change and you make a priority in your life to keep that change, then you have won.
3. Keep yourself on a Higher Level
Once you have done #2 then you have to see yourself as a better person, a Strong(er) Person! If you ever go back to the old habits, then you haven’t broken through. So how do you push keep yourself on a different level? By Telling yourself you are, by staying disciplined, by being mentally tough enough to shrug off the hard times, by getting yourself in a routine. There many ways to keep yourself on a higher level. The one thing you have to understand is that….no one can do it for you, your choices are what mold you. So if you decide to not workout….that’s you deciding to not be GREAT!
